At least we were able to get the 3-month extension and the version that we can use on 6 machines at home instead of the single-use version. Still, i wish there was a better way.

Both the parties said that I can redeem the existing connection once I purchase the new. Then, I bought the same software and tried to redeem it. Pathetically, it couldn’t secede to do so. I contacted best buy as well as Microsoft to get some solution for my problem. No use. Now, I am paying double amount for two laptops. Be careful while dealing with this type of issues."

Needed help at one point getting to the proper sign in page; the online chat was helpful. When I shared the office 365 with someone, we had to use my primary Microsoft account log in. I considered buying the software to own it, but when Microsoft comes out with a new version of Office eventually the one I would've bought would stop being supported.
