I would have preferred not to have to buy Microsoft office again. And of course I could not return it.

Not super thrilled with renewing at $100 a year, but multi device non subscription is $230 and you buy that every 3-4 years anyway. Overall, very happy with this.

Although we didnt get the fix we wanted we did arrive at a point we could due to internet provider the geek squad did get us to a point of functioning using an alternate route.

The Office 365 is not bad all (compared with the old ones). The subscription offers 1TB of storage for each licensed user which is a good plus if you are using One cloud. Way cheaper than DropBox 1TB cloud storage and can do the same. I, still, would prefer to buy a stand alone version of Office that I can use for at least 5 years as I am not fan of One Cloud. Sure there are some alternatives for MS Office. They are not the same as MS Office! But can sure do almost 99% what MS Office is doing (excluding the Outlook for Exchange)

I'd used these apps at work and although they're a little flashier than older versions, I am not a user who is able to derive sophisticated utility out of word, excel, power point. My wife wanted Publisher. MS made getting these in other ways relatively more expensive (single user only, updates only as long as the product is supported). In this subscriber mode, you get 1 tb per user of one drive storage and perpetual updates as long as you pay annually. So far, the apps work smoothly for us.
