    Office365 for family is the best solution to provide office for a large family. You can get a yearly subscription for $99, though, and that is the best value. I already had a family group that included myself, my spouse, my mother in law, my brother, and my sister in law. The subscription model, with yearly costs and more expensive than buying a standalone version, provides the latest office with continual updates. Most beneficial, however, is that each of my family members get 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage. These 3-month packages, which are sometimes included with other purchases, can stack against an existing subscription.

    Without Office 365, you will be missing out on so much. Not only do you get all the products, Word, Excel, Ppt, Access, Publisher, you also get Cloud Storage for free for EACH person (6 total). That's a bargain for only about $8.00 a month.

    I find it somewhat redundant with free software (which I know how to operate without memorizing new processes not having to trust cloud storage); therefore I would't recomment it for folks in their mid 70's,
