My concern is that I will have to renew the subscription every year at prices that are now unknown. We'll see, if this is a better option than purchasing the Office suite on CDs. I have not, yet, installed 365 on my other PCs.

If you load it onto another family member's computer it has to be under the same microsoft account so it tracks all 5 PC's. I basically got this because it receives updated versions free and I love the cloud storage so I can back-up important pictures and videos.

With the new 1 year subscriptions it allows you to have a piece of software that is constantly updated so you always have the most current updates to all the office products.
