Office 365 subscription is Great and Priced Right!

I like the idea of the Office 365 subscription because it is more cost effective than having to purchase and own a packaged program that tends to be unsupported after few years.

The good thing is that it's the full suite of Microsoft Office products that stays updated to the most recent standards and coolest new features. Obviously Office is the standard for most business applications. Next, it's inexpensive to get into compared to permanent licenses. If you change out your PC's regularly i's not a bad option. It's also a good option if you have multiple computers in your house or small business that you wan't to keep at the same standard for continuity. (You need the 5pc version for that to be clear - this version is only one license + a tablet). The bad - you need to renew every year. That's an annoyance and just a new way of Microsoft making added revenue. If you intend to keep your personal PC or Mac for more than 4 years before you replace it you'll probably be better served with a full life license even though it costs more. Also, on a Mac for a student or personal use Outlook is overkill. Mac Mail works just fine and supports Exchange servers. Microsoft's basic application in Windows is awful so Outlook is really a needed upgrade. Mozilla Thunderbird is a good replacement as an email client but doesn't support Exchange servers. Bottom line: Business power users who change out their travel toy every year because you deduct it or expense it - definite buy. Others, think hard about how long you'll have it or what you'll really use it for before you make the leap to the attractive price point.

Easy to activate and perfect for personal or school use. The 1TB of OneDrive cloud storage is very helpful for backing up files. Includes Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Works smoothly across my devices, and updates are automatic. The subscription model isnt for everyone, but it's reliable and convenient.

I’ve been using Microsoft 365 Personal for a while now, and it’s been an excellent experience. I love that I can access Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook on all my devices. The cloud storage on OneDrive makes it easy to keep my documents safe and accessible anywhere. The subscription setup was simple, and everything runs smoothly. Totally worth it for students and professionals alike!

PRO's of 365: 1. Price - If you are comparing 365 to the Office Professional then spending $100 VS $400 (or even $219 for Office Home/Business) is tempting. What really adds to the temptation of 365 is that you can install it on 5 machines as opposed to one machine on the other platforms. So if you need office on your home computer, laptop, and the kids school computer - office 365 may be the route to take; And you would still have 2 licenses left. If you make full use of the 5 licenses you are only paying $1.66 per month per computer. 2. FULL office suite. Your get all 7 software pieces found in Office Pro - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Access. 3. Virtual Office - If for whatever reason you don't have your computer with you, you can access 'office on demand'. This will stream a copy of office to any internet connected machine and you can access your files via sky drive. Nice if you are at someones house / public internet terminal. 4. No longer cloud only - In the past 365 was a cloud only app - the software had limited features and capabilities compared to the full desktop versions, and if you didn't have an Internet connection you didn't have Office. No more though, you run the real software on your machine locally - so if you are on a plane, or without internet you can still use the product. 5. "Free" Upgrades - With 365 you are leasing the latest version. So as long as you maintain your subscription, in a few years when the next version comes out you will be able to upgrade without having to 're-buy' office. Cons: 1. You are 'locked in' - Every year you must renew your lease if you want continued functionality. You will still be able to view your documents and notes, but if you don't renew you loose the ability to edit them. 2. Tablet support - 365 works well on Win 8 tablets, but no support yet for Android or Apple. 3. Price - There is no price guarantee, what is $100 this year may be $149 next year. Although I don't see Microsoft pulling any "Gotchas!" with this product. They already know there is some pretty stiff free competition by Google and Open Office. I think the $100 price point is here for at least 2 years perhaps 3, then we will see a sales pitch to "renew early and avoid the price increase to 119".

Microsoft continues to set the standard with its suite of programs. Whether you’re using Word for document creation, Excel for data analysis, PowerPoint for presentations, or Outlook for email management, the Microsoft ecosystem is polished, powerful, and highly reliable. What stands out most is the seamless integration between programs and the cloud-based functionality of OneDrive, which makes remote collaboration and real-time editing incredibly easy. The tools are user-friendly enough for beginners but robust enough to meet professional and enterprise-level needs.

I love having the subscription - always just had the single device license in the past. This is great because of the automatic updates and ability to use it on several devices, all of which are connected under my one account.

I've been a fan of Office 365 forever (guess I'm just used to it). At least they haven't gone to web-app only. The current versions are fairly lightweight, compatible with everything I need it to be, and is working great. The discount for a year while purchasing a new PC is a great addition and helps me lower my annual software costs. So thanks for that.

    Review of Microsoft 365 Personal

Microsoft 365 Personal is just what I needed for my small business. I find it easy to use, appreciate its cross-platform compatibility and cloud-based collaboration, but some prefer the subscription model to a one-time purchase. While all the features set are essential, the subscription might be a drawback for some, and Outlook may not be necessary for all users. I would really like a compromise between Personal and Business software. As I use it for a small business, I need some of the features from Business but the cost doesn't justify the purchase

Microsoft 365 was easy to install. I thought I would need to call Best Buy's Geek Squad to help me, but I was able to do it on my own. It is up and running perfectly.

Purchased a 12-month subscription when I bought my new HP ENVY x360 laptop recently. It was easy for my tech guy to install, and everything works fast and efficiently. I use WORD most of the time, and having Copilot included can help make my writing and grammar better.

I’m honestly impressed with this product. From the moment I opened the box, everything felt high-quality and well-made. It works perfectly, looks great, and has made my daily routine so much easier. The performance is fast, reliable, and way better than I expected for the price. I’ve tried other brands before, but this one stands out for its durability and attention to detail. If you’re thinking about getting it — just go for it. You’ll be glad you did!
