    Worked great. Easy to install. I would go with the lifetime subscription for $70 more. This was a gift or else I would have gone with the other. Even only using 3 years of it would pay for it self.

    I have been a 20 year user of Office. I switched from WordPerfect in the mid 90s and have generally been a fan. Since I am a writer/teacher I primarily use Word but the other programs in office are employed as well. I have been able to do quite well without buying the newest version everytime MS wants to add to their bottom line by introducing a new "upgrade." The subscription model of Office 365 takes that option away and forces the user to buy what MS is selling just to provide a constant revenue stream to MS. Yes I can purchase the stand alone product but all of the support from MS seems to flow to Office 365. The long and the short of it is that I am test driving open office alternatives and I am very close to simply moving away from MS Office altogether.

    Have always liked the Microsoft Office apps, so decided to have them installed on the new laptop. I will see how much I use all of the apps during the 12-month subscription and evaluate if I will renew.
