It’s nothing more than a way to take more money constantly for a product that should only need to be purchased once. But this was thrown in as a freebie. If you have an affiliation with a company or school they usually give you free access as long as you’re affiliated, but once you graduate or leave the access is revoked. There are also free options but Microsoft is so widely utilized that it just becomes an annoyance not to have it. I hope they just keep giving out little freebies like this.
