I purchased the MS 365 personal subscription copy for a brand new MacBook Air m1 that I purchased on the same day with Best Buy, under the impression that I'd be given 3 months of bonus subscription (a total of 15 months) with the price of 12-months given my purchase of a new device. However, it ended up that I wasn't granted the 3 months bonus subscription due to the problem that my laptop and MS 365 weren't placed on the same order (i.e., separate transactions). What happened was that I called Best Buy on a Friday afternoon for the the MacBook Air and placed my laptop order over the phone, after learning the fact the store where I wanted to pick up the laptop had one last machine left in the color I wanted. A few hours later, when I went pick up the laptop after work, I made the purchase of the MS 365 personal subscription copy so that I'd be able to us MS office on my new machine. I thought the store adjusted my transactions and granted me the 15-months of subscription for the price of 12-months, but that was where the problem started. After I installed the software on my new machine, I logged onto Best Buy and saw my subscription was only good for 12 months. I made MANY phone calls to the customer service, only to be looped in the system and speaking with different agents. Although the 5+ agents I spoke with all wanted to help me, none of them were able to due to the Best Buy policy that the bonus 3-months was contingent on purchasing the device and software as a bundle (i.e., in one transaction). There was no way to adjust for this, and I was very disappointed. Should I known the subscription was only good for 12 months, I'd definitely opt for other sellers than BestBuy for better pricing. Although I could understand the logic of the policy so that people don't try to take advantage of it for a prior device purchase, it was not well described online nor to me at the time when I placed order for the MacBook Air (i.e., nowhere in the descriptions of the offer mentioned it has to be placed on the same transaction; otherwise, even if the device is purchased on the same day, it will be considered as a "prior purchase" instead of "a new device purchase"). I'm thankful for all the agents I spoke with when I called the customer service because they genuinely wanted to help me, but I'm very disappointed by the unclear policy and wanted to make this known to other consumers who might be thinking of purchasing a device & MS Office subscription with Best Buy. For people who are interested in getting the bonus 3-months offer, please ensure to make your device and subscription purchase in one transaction as a bundle so you'll get the bonus months as expected.

Microsoft 365 has worked very well for me. I had a very old version of Microsoft Word so I was worried that I wouldn't be able to open my old documents with 365 but I can. Just with 365 it's formatted a little bit different, but I think it's definitely better than my old version of Word.

I never bought software to 'rent' so..im tying out the subscription bc at the time i wasnt able to afford the $350 or so.. but so far its been great, and they even have life tech support to set up some pesky emails in outlook that wouldnt link or display all the folders..and that is free w/o additional costs so.. that in istself was wroth it. altho depending on the price when it runs out, imight just purchase to own..

Ahh Microsoft. Your office products have become so complicated. Between 365, personal, and business editions, it's difficult to know what is really needed when it's all the same exact thing for various prices. Product itself is great. Who can live wothout Excel and Word these days? I know I can't.

Good only reliable word and excel. I use word and excel for day to day tracking, helping kids in school with anything they need, creating to do lists, managing money spending costs, etc. This was installed easily at time of laptop purchase and did the annual where I get all the upgrades. In the constant changing technology world sometimes old reliable meets the need the best!

Why pay yearly when you can pay once and be done with it. For your everyday use in Office and at home, a must have for budget conscious and publisher in the house.

It works well. I've been on office 2010 for so long it is just taking me time to adjust.

My new Dell - 27" FHD Touch-Screen All-in-One PC has the feature Microsoft Edge installed. This makes use of my computer very easy and I am very pleased with it.
