I am older, so I recall the days of Microsoft products being preinstalled and part of the purchase price. And, now it is an annual fee? I was in the middle of filing for retirement with Social Security and my employer when my prior laptop stopped working. I needed the ability to save and send a ton of documents. I caved in and purchased it. Fortunately, I could afford it. What do many elderly or limited income folks do to be able to communicate regarding retirement, medical care, etc. Fortunately, this happened while I was employed, but going forward?? I don't know if this will be an affordable cost, going forward, with the price of healthcare. With a significant population of the country in their aging years, it would be nice for these huge corporations to recognize those who supported them for years and now have to decide what they have to do to sustain basic needs.

Annual Makes Dollars and Sense!!!
