If you don't renew within a few months of expiring you have to repurchase. If you get a new computer often great, get this. If you keep your pc for years, not recommended.

I have a paid subscription for business so I really didn't need this but i guess it comes in handy if I every want to save some money and stop paying for the business version I guess
