    I'm not necessarily a fan. Just basic software is all I need, but, having to purchase these things separately these days, unlike the good old days when all you needed came with the computer, I went with the newest average package. It has everything I need, and some things I'm sure I am not aware of or use. Some of it is a pain to get used to functionality, but it gets the job done.

    Obviously you need this if you plan on doing any kind of work. Sure, there are freeware items out there, but be careful when downloading so you don't get any malware.

    Microsoft Office is the standard. They marketed this over many years, but I would prefer a stand-alone product rather than an annual subscription, so I believe it to be an underhanded way of making you pay FOREVER. The products are better than others available and continue to improve (or change) over time. I will continue to use them because of the limited number of alternatives.

    If you have an older desktop or laptop computer like me, and can't afford a new one; this is the best program to buy it enables you to use most of the Features of Microsoft 365 online and save documents to your computer online. It really helps!
