It's always up to date and it doesn't cost a fortune to buy. Great business model for Microsoft too -- subscriptions are regular revenue at low incremental cost to the company.

I chose to only buy a one year subscription because I'm told that Microsoft Office is coming out with a newer version later this year. When that happens I'll use my student discount to purchase the 3-year package.

Easy to see the years that have gone in to improve this software. I like working with it... perhaps because I am familiar. Not sure if it can edit pdfs and pics etc.?

It is reasonably priced and automatically updates. I wish I had paid a little more to get the subscription for more than one computer since it would be great to have a fully functioning program on my other microsoft products.
