Because I keep each laptop I purchase for several years, the cost of the Office 365 Personal subscription per device ends up being much higher than the Office Home and Student software ($70/year vs. $150 total). But of course, Microsoft has made the high cost unavoidable by stripping the software version of the functionality of 365 (you give up Outlook, Publisher, and Access).

I really love the sharing feature and now have office linked on other devises. I'm still working out specific functions of different programs, but so far so good!

He said it would add onto it and extend it. It took me a long time and multiple phone calls to find out that all it would have done was change my family plan into a single pc plan. It took another phone call to a special part of Best Buy to get my money back on it but I finally did happen. Don't but it unless you really just need a personal plan and don't already have one. Stupid purchase on my part and bad plan from the sales person.
