Later I found out I could have bought the product from Microsoft directly as a single install (one payment but no upgrades). I was replacing a version that was 10 years old and still working. I only use the simple functions of WORD, so don't need all the other fancy stuff that is upgraded every year. I think the subscription version with the upgrades is for people who need more functionality than me. And if they tell you that you save 10% by signing up for their credit card - read the fine print VERY carefully! For me the 10% of my $573 purchase was $50, and the savings is not in cash it is store credit.

This enables me to stay connected and re connect with personal and business contact. Using Word, Excel and Powerpoint makes life much easier and are used regularly. I highly recommend Microsoft 3654 Personal for everyone. All of the app's that you will need at your fingertips

Office 2016 has many streamlined features compared to the previous release and the 365 variant works just like the non-online version. Would highly recommend this cheaper option!
