||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using Word for decades, but when it was time to upgrade (I was still on Word 2011), I was faced with this choice: pay the one-time flat fee, or an annual fee for Word 365. I went with this mainly for the appeal of having all documents stored in the cloud -- unlimited storage, and all still available if the computer crashes, as well as being reachable from any device. One practical note, though: If you're saving your docs to the cloud, if you happen to log on to your laptop when it's not hooked up to wifi, you can't access your documents! I'm still figuring it all out.
