With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. I like the classic desktop scene, and the new way is just unnecessary. The battery life is fantastic. It takes awhile to get used to navigation, and I'm still learning, but that's okay. I got the bundle package for a great price of under $300, plus discounted Microsoft 365, and the 3 year total protection through Best Buy for only $516.
