Posted .Hello there, Microsoft has Office 2013 versions available at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. Only Office 365 versions are subscription based. We hope this was helpful to you.

I have not figured out how a document I was working on became a "read only" document. I ended up retyping the document. Word did screwy things that I didn't know how to fix. So, I redid it on my laptop where I didn't have the issues.
