With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Subscription based version of Windows Office offers the 5 apps that I have found useful outside of business so I'm not buying software I will never use. Benefits of subscription is the software is continually updated so you have the most current version. Downside is you have to renew the software in order to continue to use it. Software was preloaded on the new computer with a one year subscription included. Registering was easy and software works great.
