Salesman described that any updates would be automatically offered to me (thru subscription) rather than needing to purchase a new program- every coupla years... that sold me! Plus- I need Publisher- and is quite a bit more for the stand-alone programs.

With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. It is true; I suppose, except for the squeezing of the turnip felt by those who hold a grudge and found it installed on their computer without our permission. CNET gave it a good review when it 1st came out. I had it removed from my computer.

Seems that this means that all my files are "out there" in the internet and not secure.

After trying several times I will have to take my laptop to the geek squad. Hopefully I will not incur additional fees. I'm sure the product is ok but I need to get past this road block. Another family member has had to do the same thing. So I wanted to put this comment in.
