I will need to purchase similar MS Office as an one off payment, without ongoing yearly payment.

With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. They asked if they wanted me to so of course I said sure but they never told me it costed anything! Horrible service at that best buy! Also forgot to even ask if I wanted a warranty on my laptop! Very upset!
