If you are looking for a one time purchase you might consider Office 2019. The best benefit of Office 365 though is that it will always be the most up to date version of Office.

Just so you know, you can purchase Office packages with a one-time purchase. This option is associated with any of our Office 2019 packages. It's also quite easy to cancel your Office 365 subscription if you want to switch to Office 2019. Within your Microsoft account, go to Services & Subscriptions. Locate the subscription you want to manage and then select Payment & Billing.
