I found this program less user friendly than the older version. Also, I do not like the annual fees and the fact that I was told I cannot replace it with my older version of Office

I wound up returning the card. Not happy about having to "rent" MS Works every year and didn't need it for Word... The new MacBook Pro will save as a Word file without it.

Basic features. Be aware of the auto renew feature which charges a fee annually and is very difficult to cancel.

    Office 365 for Android

I use Office 2016 on my windows 10 computers. I frequently grab my Acer Chromebook because it is easy to use, but have felt the one thing missing was Word and Excel. I have a lot of documents in both programs and wanted the capability to retrieve and edit, documents from One drive while on my Chromebook. I did not want to use Google docs and have two different formats. A year’s subscription to Office 365 was just what I needed. Installing the product required downloading from the app store the individual apps separately. Unfortunately, Access and Publisher are not supported. I will not use Outlook at this time. I did download Word and Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote. I signed into Microsoft on the Office page and activated the Office 365 subscription. When I opened the word app on my Chromebook it was all set. Then opened Word on my Galaxy tablet and it was good to go. I was surprised at how easy it was. The classic ribbon menu is truncated and is not very robust. The interface is different from the full version on my desktop, but is full featured enough for most basic projects. Touch screen gestures are good for the small screens. If you want to do a lot of heavy editing in word or excel it is better on the Windows version. The PowerPoint app does a good job and if you have the right type adaptor can connect your Android phone/tablet to a larger screen for presentations. You have the capability to connect to One Drive, Drop Box, Google drive and sharing is quite easy. So far, this program does what I wanted it to do. Power users who want every single tool available in the office suite won’t be happy with the android apps, but they are a handy companion for your android devices.

Signed up for automatic updates. Very annoying process. Lots of popups. States you need to close programs to update them even when you aren't in them. Typical Microsoft!

The new Excel is a disaster!

I am using W10 - 64 bit, MS Word & Excel. Office 365 Personal purchased in October 2018. Running on Intel i7, 2 GHZ, 16 gig ram. Word runs fine. The scroll feature in Excel scroll bars is so terrible it almost makes Excel completely useless. I am only working with a 21M file. I used this same file on my old slow laptop with 32 bit Vista, 4 gigs ram, and Office 2007 and it scrolled smoothly. If you need Excel for more than a kindergarten education, avoid this version,

I hate that we do not have the cd and have to sign up for ms email to register and get updates. Pain...I did not have the password or email from step and required because of computer crash to re install. No luck. I had a cd copy of ms office and installed that instead. Waste of $ to buy the non cd version of office

Has all the necessary tools to complete any task on the computer. Yearly fee is too high in comparison to 1 time purchase. Upgrades are not useful to everyone.

Encouraged to buy something I didn't need

Not a criticism of the software, but I was pushed to buy something I don't need. I already have Microsoft 365 Home which I should be able to use with my new laptop (5 devices covered). So why do I need to buy Microsoft 365 Personal??? Encouraged by store staff to buy supplemental software I absolutely do not need. The danger of automatically renewing software you pay for each year is you can forget what you already purchased and that it's already enough.

When you make the purchase of Office, you get a card with a number under a piece of tape, that you have to go online and download it. When I peeled the tap off, the numbers came off with it and couldn't be read. Talk about a nightmare with Microsoft. After you download the suite, it requires an annual upgrade costing $69, or your programs will cease to work. There are other free office suites just as good. Save your money. Microsoft is rich enough.
