By restricting document creation to subscribers only thru login credentials, the Word program strategy seeks to "own" customer loyalty by restricting use of any other social media, for communications. Buying a product for use is understandable - however forcing my loyalty to Microsoft, so it can exploit customer's usage into significant recurring revenue, is monopolistic. I don't like being forced to use Microsoft just so a letter can be written & saved. As in the past, I'll purchase annually, for its use. I object to Microsoft's intrusion & exclusion. I want to be your customer, not your product.
