I use for my own personal use. The high cost of laptops now, having this included would be a plus verses having to pay a yearly reoccurring charge.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The new office for mac has been redesigned an looks a lot more modern, which is great because Office 2011 (Mac) wasn't very attractive. Also, the subscription model works pretty well if you use all of the Office applications, and want to upgrade to the next version without having to pay again. But if you only use a few office applications like word and powerpoint and don't need the latest version at all times, it would probably be better to go with the Home & Student edition.

When I bought my new laptop, I figured just get the official Office app. Very glad I did. Get the real thing and save yourself some troubleshooting from time to time. Microsoft actively updates Office.
