Thus I had to uninstall and purchase the new 365 as a family. Thus I lost the purchase price of the single person plan. It was quite an ordeal to figure all this out and ensure our computer could be given "read to go" on Christmas. I deeply regret losing the purchase price of the single use plan At age 80, I have been left with a wide range of feelings and disappointment.

Still VERY MUCH wish I could just buy the software and be done with it, or at least only buy exactly what I need. (No Outlook, thanks). But MS knows everyone needs Word to function in adult society, so what choice to we all have? At least it works.

With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever.
