I really enjoy the fact its a subcription, not cheap, but ifyou actively use it, it pays for itself.

I am disappointed that this is now on a yearly subscription basis. I need it occasionally, but don't use it every day and this makes it more costly.

You pay less up front, but if you keep it installed a long time, you're better off paying the higher amount up front - but with the subscription, you're at least getting the most recent version.

Then if the Internet is down my information can't be reached. We also don't know if Microsoft will charge for storing data at some point in the future.

That said it appears that you can only access password-protected documents on the device that they were created on.
