Benefits of subscription is the software is continually updated so you have the most current version. Downside is you have to renew the software in order to continue to use it. Software was preloaded on the new computer with a one year subscription included. Registering was easy and software works great.

I bought it because i needed it

You have to buy a subscription and to me that is a bit excessive. Microsoft is just money grubbing and should remember their more humble beginnings

Plus, if I don't like it at the end of the year just have to terminate the contract. Very Convenient.
