However, software as a service [meaning you need to buy each year] is a huge moneymaker for Microsoft, but seems expensive for an everyday basic user. I define basic user as a user of internet, email, word, and maybe a spreadsheet. Maybe a one-time buy of Office 2016 would be better.

For someone who is always seeking advancement in their career this would be a great tool because it will come in handy when you update your resume and cover letter.

It has a good selection of applications that would suit most people's needs at a reasonable price. These applications can be accessed from multiple devices so it is always with you.
