Ergonomic design and folds flat for storage
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Arc bends upward when in use to mimic the comfortable feel of a mouse. It can be used on any surface and the wireless transceiver picks up the signal very well, except sometimes when the mouse is directly in front of the notebook. The Arc folds flat to turn it off and then is easily transported at about the size of a cell phone. I noticed that sometimes the mouse will turn itself off, as indicated by the blue light going off. This may be a battery -saving function. I'm not familiar enough with it to say.

good mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Microsoft arc touch mouse is a great mouse but the only problem i seem to have is that the touch strip sometimes stops working but its an easy fix, i just have to turn the mouse off and on again.

It Does Not Look Like a Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a mouse that would work on granite countertops. This one does it with ease. The advertisement indicated it would work on glass and just about any shiney surface. It was comfortable and easy to operate besides looking great on my desk.

Best mouse ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had bought every type of mouse on the market and was never happy until I stumbled across this mouse in a Best Buy in Chicago. I absolutely love this mouse. I especially like that it will collapse for travel. I have one for my work computer and one for my home computer. It works on every surface and doesn't drag. This is a great stocking stuffer for Christmas.

Extremely Comfortable Mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this device for a while now and I love it. I use my computer a lot everyday and with this mouse I never feel any pain in my hand. The size of the device and the size of the curve just feel very natural in my hand and this is hard to find in just any mouse. Also, any time someone else wants to use it they are amazed when they learn that it bends and that the scroll wheel is touch sensitive with haptic feedback. Unfortunately, it is very expensive and when I plug it into a computer that I have never used it with the driver takes a long time to load and while it is loading you cannot use the mouse. Plus, after probably two years of heavy usage my right mouse button is beginning to not work every time (still, that is a pretty good run). All that being said, I think I am going to go out and buy another because in more ways than any other mouse I have used, this one is perfect. It is definitely worth the price to me and I would recommend it to anyone.

I like the original Arc Mouse better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I gave this one a try when it went on sale last week for $39, my old/original Arc Mouse died after a few years of use. This review is primarily a comparison between what I was use to with the original Arc Mouse (I'll just continue calling it Arc Mouse in this review), compared to this new Arc Touch Mouse (I'll continue calling it Touch Mouse). The contour of the Arc Mouse was easier on my wrist, it had a nice curve to it. The Touch Mouse has a high curve around your palm area then slants straight to your fingers, this didn't feel comfortable to me. The buttons on the Touch Mouse are stiff, not as forgiving as the Arc Mouse. You can touch anywhere on the Arc Mouse left/right buttons (whether it was towards the front of the button, in the middle, or the back towards your palm, it didn't matter, it would still click with ease). The Touch Mouse didn't respond well to middle clicks (it rarely clicked when trying it towards the back of the button), and you had to be sure to click all the way at the front of the mouse to get it to respond correctly. The Touch Mouse, although the concept is a nice idea, has a v1.0 affect for the touch scroll wheel, it has some improvement to do. If you barely tap it, like you're not sure if you're going to scroll or just rest your finger there, it will immediately display the Auto Scroll on screen. Also, I do a lot of CTRL+Click, and if my window is not done scrolling if I flicked the Touch scroll, then if I did a CTRL+Click too soon my screen zoom goes into affect (whether it zooms in or out, then I have to go up to the menu to reset the zoom). Lastly, the folding (or lack thereof) of the new Touch Mouse is not nearly as good as the Arc Mouse. I love how the Arc Mouse collapsed around itself, whereas the Touch Mouse folds flat. Also, the Arc Mouse has a nice pocket to place the receiver in. The Touch Mouse just has a magnet on the back of it to hold it on, and then when it's in the laptop bag it can get lost easily. I hope this review is helpful to some, I really couldn't find any reviews comparing the 2 different versions of the Arc before I bought it, so I went ahead and bought one and decided to write a comparison between the 2. I'll stick with the original Arc Mouse, I have since returned this Arc Touch Mouse back to Best Buy.

Great product
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mouse because a wanted a slim option to carry along with my netbook in a small case when I travel between offices. This mouse was a great purchase. I especially like that the wireless usb receiver attaches to the underside of the mouse via magnet so it does not get lost in the case.

Smooth mouse, great overall use, needs fixes
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this mouse, cause i had extra money left over on my gift card. Its a good mouse indeed, but there are a few things that i have a problem with is. Im an advent gamer, but not that extreme. I dont need a professional gaming mouse to play, but with this mouse, its impossible and difficult to play RTS games, such as starcraft. Starcraft requires intensive clicking and mouse movement. If this mouse if for your daily web browsing, mediocre games, this is the mouse for you. I got it for 50$ since its on sale, and its worth it! I would def recommend this mouse to my friends. Also, when i bring my netbook to school, this mouse doesnt pop out in my bad, and folds easily.

Fresh design but not ergonomic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted a wireless mouse to use with my laptop. I chose the Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse (ATM) mostly because it's design allowed for very easy storage. It solidly clicks/snaps flat for storage and curves for usage. The bottom also has a very good magnet to attach the USB receiver to. The biggest problem is the middle "button", which really is just a miniature trackpad. It's sensitive; it will mix double-taps (mouse scrolling) with single-taps (opening links in new window). Middle wheel scrolling is achieved by swiping a finger up/down the middle button, which leads to the BIGGEST problem for me. It employs some sort of haptic feedback, so it feels as if a wheel is rolling under your finger. It's a strange sensation that, combined with the constant swiping, has caused three of my fingertips to be sore and raw. Constantly swiping, I tried swapping out fingers (even scrolling with my ring finger). Now however, it's just a pain to swipe using any finger. Of course, this would not be an issue with an actual wheel, but the point of the mouse is removing the wheel. That I understand. So the design is ingenuous, but the engineering is not ergonomical. Otherwise, the mouse as a whole is average and would recommend it with some reservations.

Portable, easy to use and seems accurate
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Device is actually very small and portable. Plug in and use easily. Would be nice to have a little space to store the transceiver as I plan to use between multiple computers. Otherwise seems outstanding.

Overall good mouse
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall this is a good mouse. The design is one of the better looking for a mouse from microsoft. The scrolling is nice to not have a wheel. I would get rid of the annoying "scrolling sound" it makes though! It is a little difficult to click with at first until you get used to using the very front part of the click buttons, not the middle like most other products. Like always microsoft is very compatible. The battery life is amazing. Folding it to travel is cool.

very ergo friendly mouse for work environment
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am very hapy with the purchase, only con would be price and some cocern over how long the on/off will last . everyone in my office is envious of the profile. The mouse is a great complement to a laptop and ectremely mobile. Nice to "stick" in the pocket and take to meetings vs having to use the old touch pad on the laptop. Highly recommend......

The touch pad is atrocious
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a great looking mouse and being able to store flat was the main reason I chose it even at $70. Unfortunately the touch pad all but makes this mouse unusable. It is very unresponsive and doesn't register most touch gestures until you repeat them a few times. It also registers phantom gestures even when not touching the mouse which really hampers work flow. The haptic feedback when you are able to successfully communicate a gesture is a nice feature though, it actually feels similar to the clicking of a good old fashion scroll wheel. I really want to like this mouse, but it needs a scroll wheel.
