To reengage the mouse, I just have to stretch it out (flatten it) and bend it back. That cures the problem quickly but is annoying, and I wonder if the regular flattening and bending back will end up wearing out that component. If you are short on USB ports (which I am), this mouse will do the job, but I would try another brand to see if they're any better.

Says it is very comfortable to use, flattens for storage when he is on the go with his business. Played with it like a toy for the first couple of days because it was "cool".
