It is very smooth and easy to use. When it is in an arc shape it is on, when the device is flattened out it is off which makes for an easy and simple save on battery life!

When I work the laptop Is not really in front of me so I can use the mouse to click through what I need. Only thing, they did not offer a protection plan for it :( other wise very happy with my purchase! :)
