    Great Keyboard

It's a very nice keyboard and mouse. Key press is soft and not noisy. Software available from Microsoft allows for tons of customizations.

NO light for Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, or Num Lock

It is an nice keyboard, but there is NO indicator light for the Caps Lock, Scroll Lock, or Num Lock. I would have thought ALL Keyboards would have indicator lights. It is very frustrating to not know if the Caps Lock is down before you begin to type, especially when typing Passwords

    very nice feel

This is my second keyboard. I took the first one back within 24 frustrating hours. Within an hour with this one I was on the phone with Microsoft support. Although the keyboard isset up beautifully and has a great feel, I need to bang on the keys to get them to type and even then it turns out part of the letters I am typing. I sped a lot of time to delete and go back and add letters. The number pad is a joke. Even banging on the keys doesn't work 50% of the time. All in all a real disappointment.

    Horrible

I hate this mouse almost as much as I hate Microsoft tech support. The keyboard and mouse were working fine for the first few weeks. Then all of a sudden the mouse started dragging and became non responsive. For $70 bucks get something else. You have to pay for shipping back to get a replacement. Great warranty Microsoft.

Good keyboard, not so great typing feel

Not so great feel when typing. There's just something about the typing experience where Logitech keyboards always feel better. I think you should go with Logitech in general.

Both the mouse and keyboard lag terribly. Keyboard has a nice feel but it is pointless if it doesn’t work properly.

Don't buy this for a laptop

I use this keyboard and mouse at work on a desktop system (older 5000 version, which is identical). I installed it about a year ago. Unfortunately, before I bought this one I failed to remember that it uses a FULL SIZED USB connector, not the nano-connector that everything else MS and other sell. This is going to be a disaster for my laptop and I will probably have to sent it back. EXTREMELY disappointed that this is NOT pointed out in ANY product manual advertisement, on the Microsoft site or any other site. I have been looking forward to using this on my laptop, but it would be broken in days. There is just no way to use it!

    I returned this unit

Ended up not liking the wrist pad and also the odd way the keys sit. It may well be more natural, but it's not what I'm used to. Note: The keyboard and mouse worked fine - I just didn't care for the angled ergonomic style.

    USB Missing from Keyboard/Mouse

    Posted .

Said excellent condition and was not because the usb was missing which makes the two work. I talked to both the store and online customer service and because they would not just give me another one of the same or price match a similar brand I returned it for a refund to my credit card. I did call online to complain how it was handled and all they said they would do is file the complaint. I won't buy here anymore especially on line since I can't look at the product before receiving it. Can't rate it either because I never had a chance to use it.

    Mouse has issues

I bought two Microsoft Comfort Desktop 5050s. One for my Mac and one for my Windows 10 PC. Funny thing, it works on the Mac but the mouse will not function on the Windows PC. It stops on every hyperlink when crossing a page sometimes for 4-5 seconds. I have tried the new driver, the old driver and everything else that has crossed my mind. I called Microsoft Support who told me they handle low level problems like telling me to replace my batteries. Thanks for the help! I would not recommend this product.

    WORST EVER!

I HAVE ALWAYS PURCHASED LOGITECH KEYBOARDS, BUT THIS IS THE WORST ONE I HAVE EVER BOUGHT. FORGET IT IF YOU WANT TO BACK SPACE. WONTS HAPPEN. JUST WRITING THIS REVIEW TOOK FOREVER. THE NUMLOCK KEY DOES NOT LIGHT UP. THE MOUSE IS WORSE THAN THE KEYBOARD.I READ A REVIEW ON A K740 IS AWESOME. IT IS WIRED BUT HECK I WANT PREFORMANCE. DOES NOT HAVE MUCH OF A TILT TO IT. THE ESCAPE KEY AND SHORT CUT KEYS ARE VERY TINY. THE MOUSE LAGS, AND I WAS. GOOD LUCK IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUY THIS.

I have gone through 3 of these keyboards for each of my 4 staff members. The keys wear out completely and some of the mouses have lost the rubber on the scroll wheel

    Worst keyboard ever

I really have to watch what I am typing. Unless I really pound the keys, they don't type. The number pad keys are even worse then the alpha keys. It is exhausting. I would never buy this again.

Page will not stay put after scrolling. Very frustrating. Computer screen goes haywire at times as if a keyboard button was stuck. I must return it and choose a different brand.
