Would only work if plugges in. Defeated the entire purpose of buying Bluetooth for my tablet

Unfortunately, I could not get this to work. I like the touch and everything else though.

It's used. The package be opened buy someone. It's very dispoint for Best Buy.

I just got home from purchasing this keyboard and I'm using it to type this review. I've got to say that I'm impressed with the quality of the keyboard overall. I fully expected a really cheap plasticy feel to it since it's Microsoft, but it's put together nicely. The keys are nice even though they are small and I didn't have any issues with the bluetooth connection. My one big gripe about this device is the cover. The outside top has that soft rubber stuff on it, which feels high quality, but gets dirty incredibly easy and is very difficult to brush off. Also, I wish the area that the tablet rests against was covered in rubber or some sort of protection other than just being hard plastic. I feel like I have to be very careful when I place my iPad into the slot because only the portion the back touches is rubber, not the bottom (that the side or bottom of you tablet touches). Since the cover/stand can be completely detached and I can use my iPad Smart Cover as a stand, it's not so much a big deal. Other than that I like this keyboard a lot, but will be returning it because it's cheaper on Amazon right now and Best Buy told me they won't price match. I'd recommend this to anyone that doesn't want a keyboard case/folio because of the bulkiness and would like a quality keyboard that can connect to multiple devices.

Nice little keyboard! Keys almost too small. I have small hands and still sometimes feel like I need to be super careful, takes a little practice to use without typos. Overall a great keyboard though since it pairs with a laptop or PC, Android device, and iPhone or iPad.

I have it connected to a Lenovo Miix 2 8 that is running Windows 10, works as expected, connected very easily. I have not tried it with Android or iOS.

Just 5 years ago Microsoft hadn't made a footprint in the area of designing and manufacturing PC's, tablets and accompanying accessories. Today, when I think of Microsoft not only is the name synonymous with Windows and their MS Office Suite, yet what's imore significant is that I want Microsoft hardware to power my Windows based software! I own the Surface Book, a powerful yet sophisticated workhorse. When I don't need a full laptop, I default to using my iPad Pro, who's on screen, virtual keyboard isn't suited for big time word processing. I didn't want a standard keyboard case, to eliminate the slim form factor, nor did I type long enough on the iPad to justify buying Apple's Keyboard Cover. Fortunately Microsoft's mobile keyboard fit my needs perfectly, and the deal was sealed when I came across the keyboard as a part of BestBuy's Deal of the Day promotions. From the moment you inbox this keyboard, you'll feel the build quality placed into making the keyboard one fit for usage with the top 3 operating systems today. The entire package is quite compact, yet large enough to offer a comfy, real-feel keyboarding experience. The keyboard has a case to keep your keys clean from the dust and random crumbs that like to find their way onto keyboards, and show themselves just on the day you intend to use it in the office or during class. What I like most regarding the cover is that when flipped over you have an instant, highly capable tablet stand. Microsoft took no shortcuts when thinking out the design of this product, which is why you feel the soft lining, in what has become Microsoft's signature gray color, to protect the edges and sides of your tablet. One can easily prop up a tablet and work with confidence, assured that the casing of your devices won't be scratched due as a result of the tablet rubbing against harder plastics or metal. Being that the keyboard is ambitious enough to tackle Windows, Apple, and Android products, its suprisingly simple to setup and pair different hardware running operating systems. After initial pairing, you only must slide a button to connect with your hardware of choice. Since I need my iPad Pro's Pencil more so for productivity, it's great to have a portable keyboard stashed in my book bag when the need arises to type a document or send/reply to emails on the go. Aesthetically Microsoft's product coordinates well with white or black iPads, and would be perfect mate for Surface Pro 3 or 4 user who doesn't have much need for $120+ Type Covers. Also when using the Surface Book in tablet mode, the keyboard is an effective quick fix for typing a reply, without reattaching the SB tablet to its standard laptop-like keyboard. They come together to create a great high tech look, so much that you could forget the battery life of the Surface Book in tablet mode only.

For IOS or Android - I did not expect that a Microsoft keyboard would beat nearly everything else I had tried - but it did. Highly recommend - great response, easy pairing, and good travel size make this a great iPad or tablet keyboard and it pairs with multiple devices...

The design and layout of this product is outstanding. Also, it feels like it was solidly-built. It's sturdy, but not too heavy. However, it will only work when plugged-in. It's as though there is no battery in it. I just got it, and unfortunately it's going back.

I am using an Asus Vivotab Note 8 (M80TA). I was looking for a Bluetooth keyboard with a rechargeable battery that would allow me to leave my laptop at home and still be able to type up notes while going to classes during the day. This keyboard is it. Pairing the keyboard to my windows tablet was easy. I was also able to pair to my girlfriend's ipad mini (non-retina model, to be precise). This was done just as easily after moving the switch on the keyboard from windows to ipad/iPhone. Once paired, all of the functions on the keyboard worked as they did on the windows tablet. I also noticed that by moving the switch back and forth I could easily go from controlling one tablet to the other. Build quality is solid. My tablet is 10.95mm thick and I can use the keyboard cover/stand at two different viewing angles. Depending on the thickness of the tablet your viewing angle will vary. The magnetic strip on the keyboard cover works fantastically. As I just bought the keyboard I can't comment on battery life, but overall I am very satisfied with this keyboard. I know there are cheaper options out there for tablet keyboards, but for a rechargeable battery keyboard/stand, Microsoft has created a great product. If you're a multi-operating system user, this is certainly a keyboard to consider.

I received this keyboard new, and right out of the box it would not hold a charge. It would only work if it was plugged in. I returned it to the store, and they shipped me a new one - same problem. i returned that one to the store and they shipped another new one, AND THE THIRD KEYBOARD HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. Unless you don't mind leaving it plugged in to use it, don't buy this keyboard.
