Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.While this product is structurally sound and there is nothing physically wrong with it, it is coded to "fall asleep" to save power after a few minutes of activity. To wake it up, you have to move the mouse and wait a few seconds for it to reconnect to the computer. What this results in is a mouse that ignores input and refuses to work for several seconds, dozens of times per workday. There is no way to disable the power saving or to change the interval. Microsoft support is no help and provides no solution. I wish I could return it.

Unresponsive after 5 seconds of inactivity

This makes it practically unusable for any task that isn't scrolling (and even then it's annoying). I've tried updating drivers, changing settings, yadda yadda yadda and nothing. I don't know how typical my experience has been, but others online share my issues so I figure it's good to know before buying.

While scrolling down the page it will jump a large portion of the page. At first I thought it was on the Surface Pro 6 but it was the same issue on my Chromebook. It will have to go back if I can find a solution.
