Great ergonomic keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I are both academics and writing for publication is a big part of our lives. I am fine with the laptop keyboard, but my wife had trouble with carpal tunnel syndrome and the ergonomic keyboard is a must. This is our second keyboard from Microsoft in the last ten years. The only reason we bought a new one was that she had worn the letters from the keys and it was a keyboard with no letters still visible. She is a much better typist than I, so it did not bother her, but I was at a loss when I had to help with technical issues on her computer with out labels on the keys. All in all, this keyboard is a workhorse that will meet those with ergonomic and heavy typing needs. Interestingly, we switched from PCs to Macs about five years ago and it worked well with both.

Like the model so much I bought a 2nd one
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great keyboard for those who do a LOT of keyboarding as part of their job ... like me. I liked the one I originally purchased for my home office so much that I bought this one to leave at a secondary site where I sometimes work for a day. Before purchasing my first one I felt like I was seriously in danger of developing carpal tunnel syndrome, perhaps even leading to surgery. The ergonomic design of this keyboard reversed every bit of that. I highly recommend it! I think they may have stopped making them so grab one anywhere you can find it! There is a 'learning curve', when you first use it, especially with the 'buildup' in front, you think you will NEVER get used to it .. but you do!

Nice keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like the feel of this keyboard. It has all of the features I need and is working well. The only negative thing I can say about it is that it is pretty big, so if you don't have a large space for it you might not like it. In fact in my situation I have a sliding shelf for the keyboard and with this one I can't slide the shelf under the desktop. Not a big deal for me, but others might may have a different view.

Good Keyboard - Limited Documentation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a large wired keyboard (and heavy). It takes up a lot of desk space so if your desk space is limited, this may not be the keyboard for you. Tactile feel of the keys is excellent (as with other Microsoft keyboards I have owned). Design does take some getting used to even compared to the older Microsoft Ergonomic keyboard I replaced with this one. This highlights the one negative I have with this keyboard. There is no hard copy documentation and on-line downloadable documentation is scant at best. So, figuring out keyboard features and options is trial and error (unfortunately) which is why I downgraded it to four stars. I'll probably be even happier with it once I figure out all its features Still, it is a very nice keyboard and at Best Buy's current price, an absolute steal.

Exellent Comfort Keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this Model keyboard for years. Bought this one as a backup for the next time I wear out or spill a soft drink on the keyboard (this WILL mess up the keyboard). I use the provided snap-on base at the front of the keyboard to tilt the front down. It keeps my wrists straight both horizontally and vertically for comfort during lengthy typing sessions. If the Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard application is not included in the box, I recommend downloading it from the Microsoft ware site as it allows easy configuration of the many specialty keys both on this keyboard and Microsoft mice purchased separately.

Pretty Good Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I prefer wired keyboards to wireless, as wireless devices, especially input devices such as keyboards and mice, often suffer from input lag. I was looking for a keyboard with media keys (play/pause, FF/RW, volume up/down), and most importantly, lights for the lock states (Caps and Num specifically), and this had it all. I could really do without the ergonomic design, but it's ok.

Good wired keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I only give this 4 stars because (A) I didn't look closely enough to see it isn't wireless and (B) I'm new to the ergonomic format and it's a bit of adjustment. If you're good w/ both of these attributes, then I'd say this is a fine keyboard.

Best Ergo Keyboard for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Back in the early 2000's I had carpel tunnel release surgery done in both hands. Working as a software jockey, it is one of the things that can come with the job. Since then, I have been very careful to find keyboards that help with proper hand and wrist angles. The keyboard has been my go-to keyboard for about a decade. The split allows the wrists to be straighter (aligned with the arms). The front can be raised so that the keyboard slopes down and away to allow the wrist to naturally curve down instead of being forced up. It has nice tactile feedback. It also maintains the normal 101 key layout. Best of all, it lasts. The only time I have replaced the keyboard is when I couldn't take it with me when changing jobs. The last one had 6+ years of heavy use, and was still going strong when I left.
