Much improved, less fatigue when used
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. On another computer I already had the older, Keyboard 1A, version and I liked it. This model, Keyboard 4000 v 1.0 is even better. The wrist area is padded, there are programmable keys, and the "insert, delete, home, end, pgup, pgdown" keys are now arranged in 2 horizontal rows vs. the 2 vertical rows of the older style. Good feel to the keystrokes. Single button touches for home, search, mail and calculator. There is a support under the keyboard that tilts the keyboard 7 deg down, i.e. the near side is elevated more than the far side. It is supposed to be better for you, but I couldn't get used to that, so I took it off (it detaches easily).

It's a VERY large keyboard!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are utilizing a traditional "hidden" keyboard drawer in your desk, you may find that the keyboard design does not allow for the drawer to be closed. The ergonomic design added unexpected height. Had to replace it with a flatter yet ergonomically designed keyboard from Logitech.

SECOND PURCHASE - GREAT PRODUCT
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have just purchased my second one of these keyboards. The first one lasted many years. This is great for those suffering from the "big hands syndrom" or "carpel-tunnel"; unfortunately that is why I bought my first one and it helped a lot.

great easy keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's a well made, easy to use, helpful keyboard. I've been buying them for the last 10 years or so. My wife never used one before I brought the first one, now she won't go back to the conventional type.

Fantastic desktop ergo-keyboard.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard continues the long standing tradition of elegant ergonomics with functional design. I bought this for my desktop PC which is an Alienware X51. I use this PC for work and for gaming. The keyboard is substantial and feels great to use. The media controls are a convenience that I don't require, but they do come in handy. I can't complain about anything for the price and features of this device. But I will share a wish of mine... Microsoft should make a version of this physical keyboard that supports both USB cord AND Bluetooth connectivity. By this I mean leave the USB connectivity as-is, but have it be able to be concealed under the keyboard/ retractable for those that want to use Bluetooth.

Can't beat it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using the Microsoft Ergo keyboards for for more than a decade, and after trying other keyboards out, it still is the most comfortable. I had the previous one for about 6-8 years at least before I accidently spilled a drink on it. Keep it dry and it will not fail you!

Key spaces are to close causing multiple keys hit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always had to use keyboards with a split down the middle due to my large hands and after my old one finally failed after 17 years of use I had to buy a new one. Finding one with the ergonomic split down the middle turned out to be much more difficult than it was 17 years ago and this one turned out the only one offered in store and seemed fine on initial inspection. Trouble comes when typing however due to the narrow gap between the keys and short angle set up on the edges which for those with large hands/fingers causes constant extra keys to be typed as pushing one key often brings one or more of the keys next to it along with the key you want. The shape and angle of the frame is great but does not make up for the time wasted backspacing and retyping due to extra keystrokes. The function keys have their F1 through F12 printing on the side and the alternate functions printed on top of the keys which make it time consuming for those who rarely use them to determine which key they need to hit since you have to duck down or lean back to see the print. Overall if you have thin fingers and are extremely familiar with all the extra key's location and uses this may work great for you but for casual users who need it for larger hands/fingers it's likely to frustrate you a lot until you figure out a work around that works best for you.

I love this keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this key board soooooooooooo much that this is my third. The others lasted so long (over 5 years each) that I have worn the letters off of the keys. The design is so comfortable for the hands and wrists. I HIGHLY recommend this product.

Works great, just takes some getting used to.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, I've tried a number of wireless keyboards and some lasted a while, others less than a week before they took flight. I saw this on sale at the store and I have wrist issues in both wrist. I like typing on keys that I can bang and these are pretty good for that. I'm not sure they are spring loaded or what, but they do have pretty good response and my hands seem to find the keys most of the time. I think the only reason I rate it a 4 is because I'm having to learn how to use the thing. After I figure it out, I'm sure I'll rate it a 4.5 or 5. If you are tired of wireless and those flat laptop type keyboards aren't cutting it, this is a good one to try, especially if you get it on sale.

Best Keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Microsoft does not make many good products, but this one of them! I spend 10 hours a day on the computer typing for work and since using this keyboard my wrists do not have pain in them anymore! This is a must own for the home office.

Great keyboard
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been using this exact keyboard for years at work, and finally sprung to get one for my home office. It's great, the keys are quiet and the ergonomic split helps relieve strain and stress on my wrists. The one I had at work lasted for years and it took a ton of abuse, so I hope this one holds up as well. The only problem with this particular keyboard is that it isn't super Mac OS friendly, but it does work. I'd love for someone to make one with Mac keys, but for the price and quality overall I can't complain about having to adapt a little.

Great for wrist support
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Keyboard helps with the support for my wrist I just wish the adapter to raise the keyboard gave you an option to attach to the top not just the bottom. But for the price you can’t beat it

Great for work!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this natural ergonomic keyboard for years. The only reason I have a replacement is because I wore the letters off the keys from using it so much! (Others in my household need those, lol!) It is perfect for people that don't like to have their hands soooo close together and laying flat and also allows for easier sitting and typing. The slope is just right so you never have to look down to see where the correct keys are. I recommend this to everyone purchasing a computer. It is not much more expensive for a basic one than the tiny flat keyboard that comes standard with a new computer.

Great keyboard for all day use
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this keyboard. I don't even care that it is NOT wireless. The spring rate and travel of the button presses are very nice and it is very easy/comfortable to type on all day at work. I highly recommend this keyboard which will pay for itself not having to replace 2 AA batteries every couple of months.

It’s an Excellent Keyboard. Period.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Perfect in every QWERTY sense and need possible; plus, I received a super sale price AND also received equally-outstanding Blue Shirt Service. I highly recommend, without reservation, this exact, excellent keyboard to and for anyone and all who perform serious keyboarding—especially extensive word processing: It’s completely comfortable, the strike-feel and-sound are superior and reassuring, and it, summarily, does the job perfectly. Thank you, BestBuy!

Great keyboard
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The keyboard is very comfortable to use. I took the base off the front to begin with because it is always takes me a bit to get used to a new keyboard and the backwards slant was more than I could handle. I did put it back and it is even more comfortable than without. I am also learning new short cuts that I knew existed, but could never remember before as the front sides of the keys are labeled . . . control & Z = undo, control & Y - redo and so forth. I am starting to remember without looking, but can look if I can't.

Outstanding Product!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had a slipt ergonomic keyboard in years. When I saw this on the shelf I went bonkers! I was looking for a regular wireless keyboard, but for the price I couldn't pass this up. I'm so happy I didn't. I recently had a stroke & this made typing so much more easy for me. The cushioning at the palm area was quite unexpected & really made a difference. There are so many extra features with this keyboard. I highly recommend this if you are even thinking about trying such a keyboard. The price is right. And if you are familiar with these keyboards, this is definitely a steal at this price.

Mostly Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I truly love this keyboard and now cannot type on a straight one anymore! The issue I have with it is that the print on the keys wears off with a lot of use resulting with having to buy a new one after there are no letters visible anymore. Thank goodness I don't need to look at the letters, but still!
