The main reason was because my 5th grader was being required to do more and more projects for school and they use MS Office. So it just makes it easier to have the same version at home so she can get the work done instead of complaining that the software is "different".

It was a bit more of a process to install than I thought would be but nothing horrible. I do wish that it included Outlook for the price (you need to buy Home and Business - $100 more - for that added program) but I will survive without it. Overall just fine...especially not having to pay a yearly fee to be on a 'cloud'.
