I may just purchase the full title without needed to renew as I don't need the cloud features and, let's be realistic, I think one can go a few years without an updated product.

With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. Only weird thing I experience is a blank Word doc and blank Excel sheet open up every time I boot up my computer. They're not in the start up menu nor did I have those programs running when during last shutdown. Beyond this glitch this product works excellent.
