With this feedback, Microsoft came out with Office 365 (subscription based only) versions and Office 2016 versions sold at a one-time retail price and you own it forever. I am pleased with the variety, especially with now having Access. Also, Cloud makes it easy to access my files from other devices, which is an added bonus for a grad student on the go.

He did all the research and told me what to purchase. I made the purchase on-line without any difficulty and he was able to pick-up the items at the his nearest Best Buy. He tells me that all is working well.

I just wish I knew I had to insurance earlier versions of Office first. Also, buying from Best Buy rather than direct from Microsoft made subscribing to auto renewal a little complicated.
