However, due to a glitch in the program, Microsoft is unable to complete the verification process. I spoke with at least seven different customer service representatives at Microsoft who told me the issue was being handled by the escalation department. However, after waiting the specified time period, the issue was not resolved. I researched the issue I was having online and discovered that this has been an ongoing problem with this software for over a year. The issue was resolved my returning the program to my local Best Buy and purchasing Microsoft Office Home and Student 2013.

microsoft could not varify my university status

But microsoft took forever to varify my status as a student which was so annoying. After about four days it went through. Other than that it is a great deal for the money.

It is a typical office download of the normal products (word, excel, powerpoint, etc...). I, however, did enjoy being able to go directly to the office website and download the product as opposed to the old fashioned CD download.
