He said that as a public high school teacher I could use it. When I tried to install it I was denied because I am not an educator of "higher education". He should have known that!! Your eligibility will be validated online at www.office.com/verify. During the redemption process, you will be prompted for your school email address or logon, or international student identity card (ISIC). Once you are activity enrolled, you subscription start date will be the date you registered Office 365 University and not the date you purchased it. We hope this was helpful to you.

One of those software applications I got was office 365 University edition, and when I got it started on the computer, I found out that if your school is not in the database which Microsoft has, You Must Have An Email Address Issued By Your School just to apply for your school to be added. It is a big pain, especially since My school doesn't issue us email addresses. What a hassle. Great Software, but not if your school isn't on the list.
