I don't like the idea of paying a yearly fee to use Microsoft Office. Computers are expensive enough without having to worry about paying an additional fee for the privilege to use Office. I am disappointed in this only. The product itself is great.

Affordable software for the typical college student

I would recommend this product. As a student it is required for writing classes. It is priced right, and is good for 4 years.

This product is a must for students. To go along with Word and Excel, One Note and Skydrive are great programs. You can sync them and take them anywhere, which is extremely helpful when I only have my phone with me.

I went through so much trouble to get it installed....I couldn't install it myself geek squad up at best buy couldn't figure it either! I actually had to call microsoft.... I would not recommend this to a friend... Why is this no longer pre-installed?

Microsoft office is the right software for school.

This was my first time purchasing an Office packet and I was very happy with the price and that it's good for four years!! Won't have to purchase another one until after college, awesome.

We bought this for our son at college. So far it has performed up to expectations performing all task asked of it. MS word is a great program for word processing. Student option is a great bang for the buck.

Great suite of application packages in this software. Amazing offer. However, i find it difficult to load it onto a second machine as advertised on the product. Otherwise, this is a very good buy.

I just started using Office 365, so I may end up finding things I hate about it, but truthfully there doesn't seem to be any huge practical differences with Office 2010 (that I've found, at least with Word). At first, I thought about not installing it on my new laptop, as I have access to Office 2010 through work, but I figured that I'd give it a try, since it came free with my laptop. No major issues with it so far, and the fact that it was free (at least for 4 years) makes it well worth the price. The only hiccup I experienced was the installation. For some reason, it wasn't playing nicely with my laptop at first, which had a pre-installed setting to download Office 2007, of all things. Otherwise, so far, so good!
