The cost of the Office for Mac at the time we purchased our computer was very reasonable. We are Outlook users and wanted to maintain that as well as the availability to work on documents that could be transferred to other MS users without having to convert them first. Very similar to MS Office, but there are a few differences.

Office for Mac is easy to install and provides all the major features as the Windows version. Needed it for work. The only downside was the price because there are plenty of other office suites that are really cheap or free and do exactly the same thing. But since my job relies on Microsoft Office, I needed to get it.

If you work at home on your iMac or airbook this software suite is an absolute must! I can collaborate with clients all over the world, whether they're Mac or windows businesses.

There are a couple of features that were in Office for PC that are not included with Office for Mac, just because Microsoft wants you to stay with PC. Main one was the Hotmail connector for Outlook so I was forced to get another email address so everything would sync with my phone and iPad.

Love the product but outlook is not as good as apple mail in how it displays multiple mail accounts in a unified mailbox. Having you tasks snd calendar in one placed is good but to me the unified mail box is better.

After going to an apple computer we missed some of the features we loved about MS Office. This software operates very similar to MS. It is very good and thus far has not crashed after about 7 months on a Mac Pro laptop. We have just installed a copy on the Mac desktop.

The smart technology is good when it comes to spelling and grammar correction for Word but the formatting technology never gets what I am trying to do right. And sharing back and forth through email makes this "anticipation software" an even bigger pain in the neck.

Expensive, but worth it. Although Apple supplies the Pages word processing program, it is necessary to have Microsoft Office installed in order to read documents in the .doc format.

The process of downloading it is a pain, the instructions are a little confusing, but I got through it with a little imagination and trial and error. Don't let that dissuade you unless you are a technophobe. Not all functions work as well on Mac as they do in the Windows environment, but if you are now a Microsoft "expat", jumping between both platforms frequently, this is the solution.

The only difficulty I have is to convert the decimal point, some downloads have the coma as decimal point. I still am having difficulty in converting.

Overall this is a waste of money unless you just want to use basic emailing features. This product DOES NOT support email syncing at all. Microsoft does not want to fix that feature on the mac version. I myself use the calendar often for appointments and what not, but is 100% useless for this software. It is recommended to just get office 2013 and pay $99 a year rather than the $200 because when they come out with a future release you will automatically get the free update to the new office. This mac version for outlook is terrible. Word, excel and the other programs work amazing eel though. My only rant is microsoft outlook which most features will not work. If you are buying this for outlook, be warned, most outlook features do not work well except for basic emailing. Calendars DO NOT WORK. It states in fine print on the website support section it is not supported either. Unfortunately when you buy the product, you have to find out the hard way.
