    I purchased this, because Dell did not include it with my new laptop purchase. It is much more cost effective than paying monthly for the software. Some years down the road I may want an updated version, but in the mean time I will enjoy all of the money I am saving monthly by not paying a monthly fee.

    Just the basics for home / personal use. Word Excel & Powerpoint with a 1 time cost, good forever, or until windows won't let you install it. You still need a Microsoft account to register it however, so it is not totally offline.
