So far so good. This software package has all the basic Word, Excel and PP functions that I have used for decades, without the onerous annual subscriptions and clunky online interface. Downloading to a recently-purchased MacBook was not difficult. I'm VERY pleased that Microsoft is offering this option again.

This one devise, 2024 Microsoft Office Home version, works great and does the job for all the basics. Also came with a basic Outlook version that I wanted but was not mentioned in its description. I thought it was a bit pricey but then again, it is not subject to an annual subscription.

We had to purchase the office 2024 to get Word and Excel but decided to get it over the free online 365. It was easy to install and so far it has been a great purchase for us.

Microsoft Office is easy to install and works great once it’s set up on the computer. It’s a must-have when buying a new laptop, and I like that it’s a long-term purchase that you can keep and use on your device.

Because we were expecting terrible weather here and I needed to use my new computer immediately, I decided to set up my computer myself (I'm 76 years old). My Dell salesperson and other Best Buy staff explained how I could load this software on my computer myself. It was VERY easy to do! I love the software because it contains everything that I need and want on my computer for my work and volunteer responsibilities.

The Best Buy side of the purchase was fine. The installation link showed up right away, the product installed fine - except Microsoft put the wrong description on the screen when the installation was happening - looked like the subscription version was installing, but it wasn't. The program, however, is typical Microsoft - "we know how you want things to default so we put 500 actions in the way WE want and make you jump through hoops to figure out how to disable or change them". They assume everybody NEEDS to be on the cloud, so they default to saving things there. It results in a lot of aggravation as you try to make it do what you want and not surprise you. It can do a lot - I have used it in the past to create and edit a 200+ page business catalog. It took a long time to make it stop adjusting everything away from what I wanted, but, once the settings are changed, it does more than I know how to do and does it pretty well.

You know what you’re getting when you buy this. I needed Office for a new computer and don’t want to pay for a subscription. Easy to install and use.
