    I didn't want to subscribe to Office 365 but I use Excel and Word regularly. This is a great alternative. I don't use either program enough to need up-to-the-minute features. I also get PowerPoint which I haven't used, but am looking forward to learning.

    I bought this for my grandparents who don't need the features of the subscription version of office. This was what they needed. It's easy to install too. Its kinda expensive, but there isn't an alternative, so you just have to except the high price tag and move on.

    I would never go without Office Home. It has everything I need for my PC. I do quite a bit of work on my computer for my personal use and also for volunteer work I do. For me, it is an essential. It includes a lot of options. I've had no problems at all with this update.

    If you need Office for one computer for the life of that computer and don't want to futz with a subscription, this is the one to get. You get the basic three: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Nothing more, but you get it for the life of the computer.
