Microsoft 2010 seems more intuitive as a student tool, but that's only if you're coming from an older version of Office. There are several template options in both Word and Excel, which is nice; although it's expensive it's pretty much an indispensable tool.

I purchased this product from Best Buy's "Deal of the Day" which made it affordable. I have wanted to buy this product for updated knowledge on Microsoft Office. I have the 2000 Professional which, of course, does not have all of the new bells and whistles and since I teach basic computer classes in a senior community, current knowledge is always important. Thank you Best Buy.

I wish computers still came with your word and office programs but they dont so I had to buy it. I am glad I did though because I use the word program all the time and it is easy to use and find your way around.
My son needed to send resume's out and without this program there was no real effective way to do this.

Ok, from a novice's point of view....was beside myself that I had to pay for Microsoft Word, etc and then had difficulty installing it on the laptop. Took it back to Best Buy for assistance and they wanted to charge me $30 to install it. I know the product is good and necessary for any student...was disappointed with the lack of help from Best Buy. When I made the purchase, along with a year's warranty, the sales person told me if I had any problems/issues just to take it back in and they would help me...never mentioned a fee for it.

I had my old hard drive replaced with a new one and that meant that I no longer had my Microsoft Office program. So I purchased a new one from Best Buy at a better price than I had been finding elsewhere. I use the excel and word programs alot. It works just great, no problems and was easy to install

Most people find Microsoft Office a necessity. The sale was for the home and student edition for $99, which was a fantastic price. Meets my needs, but didn't have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Very simple download of a proven product that worked well immediately with no fuss or bother. I appreciate the value of the Home/Student version for the ability to upload the program onto three different computers. This is definitely a great value!

This is top notch software. It is easy to install and takes care of all of your document needs. It does not include Publisher which my son used in middle school though. I would definitely recommend purchasing this software.

I see no major change just more expensive. But I still perfer it to open office. Excell has some function moved which makes it a challenge. Otherwise it is good.

This MS software bundle has it all!

This bundle includes four Microsoft office applications: Word (word processor), Excel (spreadsheet), Powerpoint (presentation creator), Onenote (file saving and sharing). The collection of applications satifies nearly all software needs for student and home office use and will serve most small business, public service and larger, nontechnical office needs as well.

Don't switch from 2007 to the 2010 update!!!

I just bought a new laptop and decided it was finally time for ma to update MIcrosoft office from the 98 version (i think). When i went to buy the program I didn't even realize that there was a new 2010 version available...so before I bought it I downloaded the free trial of it.
My laptop had already installed the trial for the 2007 version on it so I was able to compare them side by side and they are pretty much the same except for the file menu (where you print, save, and open new documents from) at least on the MIcrosoft Word.
My school has the 2007 version on all their computers and I was assured that I would be able to open and save documents on either version.
The 2007 version takes some getting use to, but is great and convenient to use once you do get used to it.
I would recommend this to a friend only if they didn't already have the 2007 version.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
