Great new versin of a tried and true product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only fault I find with this is the fact that I need to keep buying a new version every few years. I can't afford that. I wish companies would include 2-3 free upgrades with this type of software. It's expensive to stay loyal to software products.

Great for college freshman!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was a good purchase, wish there would be just a student version without having to be enrolled in college already to purchase it. Either way, it was needed and will be helpful in the coming years.

Love this software
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought a new computer and had to buy this software - Personally I think it should be free when you buy a brand new computer with windows operating system

Confusing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This program is a little confusing. I am used to the old software so, maybe that's the problem but it would be nice to install a program that you've used in the past and be able to use it. I will have to find the time to look at the tutorials.

Don't like windows 8
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Some would call me an old fogie, but from my optic windows 8 is geared toward tablets and touch screens. It is not geared or set up for those of us who simply want to use a computer for research and writing. I have a large screen and ergo metric keyboard. I am certainly not going to use a touch screen and end up with pain in my elbows and shoulders from reaching up to the screen. Some of my other gripes are: -- I had to buy a new wireless ergo metric keyboard and mouse because my two year old ones were not compatible with windows 8. -- I also had to buy new software programs because my old (2-4 years old) software was not compatible with windows 8. -- I asked about getting windows 7, XP or Vista installed, but that would require more money; having to delete the windows 8 and purchasing an older software from the company and having it installed. The estimated cost was about $300.00. -- Because of windows 8 other companies/providers have changed their systems and in many cases limited or removed options. For example, it used to be possible to save Bing photos for use as screensavers. Because of 8, Bing has now changed accessibility and the only way to get a photo as a screensaver is to link from the Bing screen to Facebook (not one of my favorite things), log in, sign up,....blah, blah....used to take two steps, now it requires a mission to save a photo. This I probably my biggest gripe. Development is moving forward but often it appears to be moving forward without much thought to the users. I know its all about making money and expanding business but not everyone uses a tablet and aps or wants to be connected 24/7. Some of the other gripes I have: -- I have to use two screens. The aps screen and a screen that is more traditional (but isn't complete). -- It sometimes takes twice as many click/steps to do something. . -- Everything, and I mean everything, wants to connect to the internet or store stuff on the cloud. As a result, I am constantly bombarded by ads and updates and ads and stuff I never wanted and never will want. I spend more time deleting or turning stuff off then accomplishing what I want to get accomplished. I am accommodating to windows 8 but I have two laptops that I also use and I refuse to upgrade them. I will stick with Vista (which has its own issues but is still better) and XP which are more efficient. Quite honestly, if not for other equipment I already have I probably would have gotten an Apple.

Easy Install, easy use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Dell last year and discovered that it came with a limited time license for Windows. I was asked to pay half the price of buying the programs for another year's use. No way. Best Buy had the program and it installed with no problems.

Need some getting use to the newer version.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like Microsoft office Home and Student. The newer version takes some time getting use to finding what you want to do. The tool bars are set up differently so you have to hunt and search for what you are trying to accomplish with your documents.

It's MS Office, what else is there
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Knowing that the majority of the business world uses MS Office, not sure there is really a true alternative. That said, it's exactly what you expect of MS Office. The 2013 edition has a few new additions from 2010, but not anything of necessity.

Too high_tech for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like an easier operating system. It's difficult to find my word app. There are too many apps. It took a while to figure out how to turn it off. I like touch screen. It makes it faster.

Works Fine
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The office products work as expected, and we've had no issues with them. The problem is getting used to Win 8. It seems that there are extra screens to go through compared to Win 7. So if you are stuck with Win 8, this Office package works fine.

Got to have it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I think every day basic software...like this...should be included when you purchase a new computer. The manufactures should pre-load the software and out of the box all i should have to do is power up my laptop and start what ever i need to do.
