Windows 8 needs major improvements not easy!

Needs to have major over-hall understand new version coming out late in year 8.1. Very different from Windows 7. Which is OK but needs complete instructions for usage.

Why does Microsoft do this with every upgrade?

Nothing is where it was in older versions, and setting preferences is very difficult. Not everyone cares about social media and xbox, and it seems difficult to eliminate those icons if you don't want them. I'd go back to an older version in a heartbeat.

Two very important functions for making my life easier... im a reporter and writer.

still have not succeeded installation
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.In spite of having opened dozens (hundreds???) of similar pakaging designs, this particular one was so well sealed that while removing adhesive strip from the concealed Product ID Code, 2 of the digits were stripped off the card so as now, I do not know what the number is so I cannot download what I have paid for. Very frustrated, especially since this is apparently the only means available to have MS Office in standalone license and not be forced into the cloud. ALTHOUGH.... to install in Windows8, I learned you must first have a cloud based account and provide that info to Microsoft.

I have had to call Geek squad many tme for help

Not what I thought I was purchasing. Wanted a disc

Wanted to be able to do Word documents. Really disappointed & trying to figure out how to return it. Not even sure if it is a yearly fee rather than the software.
