Needs to include outlook in the home version. Could care less about publisher. It would be great if they would offer a package that would offer just Word, Excel and Outlook.

Basic word and excel is what I needed. This used to be included with all new computers, but apparently Microsoft wasn't making quite enough money, so now you have to purchase it separately. I'm not happy about that.

I needed Microsoft Word for a specific application on my Windows 8.1 laptop. I am very pleased with the ease in which this suite of programs installed and runs. Excel, PowerPoint and One Note are a welcome addition!

We bought Office Home & Student at the beginning of 2015. Having installed and used it on our other computer, we expected no issues. However, when we tried to load this software the Microsoft website was having major issues. We called them and were told to try loading it again in an hour or two. We waited the suggested time and tried again to no avail; so call number two was made to Microsoft. I was told our key code was invalid so we'd have to take the software back to Best Buy. The rep said there was one more thing she could try to get it to load and thank goodness it worked!

I needed a copy of Word and Excel. My old office 2000 wouldn't load on my new computer. I didn't need any more than word and excel. It worked out for me.

These programs are just what we need for our home computer. The areas we currently use most are Word and Excel. Possibly other programs will gain usage in the near future with changes to our lives.

For the first time ever I bought a laptop that wasn't preloaded with Microsoft office so I had to go and buy it. I didn't want to have to renew every year, that seemed like a hassle. So this seemed like a good choice. It was difficult to load because we have satellite Internet and capacity limits, so I was disappointed that it wasnt a disc. I had to take my laptop to another place to load the software. But once I got it loaded it's been great.

The software was easy to load and the microsoft 2013 is very similar to other versions. A friend bought 2010 but I recommend 2013 if your computer is capable. Check that before you buy it.

with my new purchase of a Dell laptop I purchased office 2013. there were big improvements from its 2010 edition. Its easier to work with documents with many more options. This is a great tool since I am secretary of my home owners association and another organization.

I didn't want to buy it in the first place and was happy with the online version, which is free, but when you want to work offline, it is a pain. I travel and don't always get good signal to tether or have a WiFi connection always available. Hence, I had to buy this. Good thing that I could get away with the Student version which includes most of the features and is convenient along with being cheap (not that cheap though).

Once you get use to the new design, it works fine. Will read all the files from precious versions of Excel and Word without any problems.

Good option if you do not require Outlook. The price could be a little bit better, but I guess MS has this market somewhat locked in...

I got this version of MS Office because you own it as long as you have your tablet and you do not have to pay a yearly subscription. It works very well on my MS Surface Pro3

I love learning a new or revised program. Really, I go back to computerland that use to be in a shopping strip where Waterside is now. First Program was MultiMate. I love the expanded tools, it is easily comparative to find and recognize where a terminology has changed to do the same function (same thing new name thing), but you know that's ok, I roll with the changes so to say because if you do not embrace the revision you are not going to be able to make the link when it happens again because you will have "a gap "in your knowledge. So the layout is a continued user friendly environment. Just breath and go for it.
